An post must review credit card policy

"The prohibition by An Post to enable customers to buy stamps by credit card is nothing short of a nonsense and the policy needs to be changed," Councillor Ciaran Lynch, Labour's candidate for Cork South Central has said.

Commenting on the matter Councillor Lynch said: "At present someone can walk into their local newsagents and purchase stamps using their credit card but cannot do so at their local post office. This type of approach to a customer indicates that An Post needs to completely review the type of service it provides locally.

"The notion that you can use a credit to buy stamps in one location and not in another is a poor reflection on the agency and must also be losing them customers.

"I am calling for An Post to review and change this policy and I am sure if they were to do so would gain them customers."
